I am a Colorado native, and I got my start in Aussies when I was in high school with an Aussie cross - she was a great dog! While I was in college in Wyoming, I got an Australian Cattle Dog, but when I moved back to Colorado she was always getting in trouble on the ranch where I worked. In 1984 I placed her with a barrel racer, and I was given an Aussie puppy out of a litter
on the ranch.
Her name was Porshia and she was a wonderful dog. She worked the chute when we roped and went with me on miles and miles of rides. Porshia went to rodeos, hunting camp, you name it - she went! She was my first purebred Aussie and I was hooked. I can't imagine having any other breed.
My husband, Kevin, and I have two boys, Garrett and Keegan and we live in Berthoud, Colorado. I chose the kennel name Dally Up as a reflection of my old love of roping, and for my Dally, because she is such a great dog and the foundation of what I hope will be sound, great working dogs.
I have to thank Marti Parrish for her friendship and support for the dogs that I can't live without! It amazes me how many wonderful friends I have made through one little red dog!
